Since I’ve I discovered a few 2D action games I LOVED last year, I’ve been on the hunt for more of them. Today we’ll take a look at those that took up residence in my Steam wishlist, alright?
1. Hollow Knight: Silksong

I mean… Obviously? Hollow Knight is one of my favorite games and this second opus looks wonderful. It won’t come as a surprise to learn that I am not-so-patiently waiting for its release (please come out in 2021, please ðŸ˜).
2. Greak : Memories of Azur

I’ve fallen in love with this adventure side-scrolling game from the moment I watched the trailer. I mean, would you look at that!

I love that we’ll be able to play three different characters and the puzzle aspect also appeals to me.
3. Grime

This metroidvania game looks fantastic! I love the graphics and the gameplay seems fun, I can’t wait to try it.

4. Bullet Age

I’m really looking forward playing this one with my partner (who doesn’t like 2D games so much, but… love conquers all, etcetera 😅). It looks so fun!
5. Ghost Song

This one has a more scifi feel to it, and it’s not something I usually like but :
- It’s a Metroidvania and I just can’t get enough of them : exploring a world while gaining new abilities along the way is like catnip for me ;
- I really like the art.

6. Steamdolls – Order Of Chaos

Have you said steampunk inspired Metroidvania? Because my heart just stopped. Dark fantasy is not something I can resist, whether in my books or in my games.
These look fun! Bullet Age looks a bit like Terraria, though I haven’t played much Terraria so I couldn’t say for sure. It just has a similar aesthetic to me.
Ohhh that’s interesting! I’ve never played Terraria but I heard about it a LOT!
It is enjoyable, though as I said I haven’t played it much. It struck me as kind-of a cross between Minecraft and an RPG.
Greak looks fantastic!
Thanks for reading!!!
